Yanjun Ma, MD, PhD

Dr. Ma has been with Tennessee Oncology since July 2011. She obtained her medical degree from China Medical University in Shenyang, China, followed by Ph.D. in Molecular Sciences at University of Tennessee, Health Science Center, in Memphis. Her cancer research experience also includes three years of post-doctoral research scientist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the field of Tumor Cell Biology. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Medical Oncology fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, TX.

Dr. Ma’s area of interests include breast cancer, cancer of the digestive tract, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, leukemia, and lymphoma. Dr. Ma holds memberships in the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and American College of Physicians.

She sees patients in our Murfreesboro office. When away from the office, Dr. Ma enjoys traveling, reading, and tennis.
