Jack W. Erter III, MD

Dr. Erter is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. He has been with Tennessee Oncology since July 2010. Dr. Erter comes to us from his Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, and his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University. He is a native of South Carolina and attended college at Davidson College, during which time he majored in Chemistry and spent a year studying abroad in Germany.

Dr. Erter has a special interest in lymphoma and holds memberships in ASCO, ASH and the Tennessee Oncology Practice Society (TOPS). He sees patients primarily at the Southern Hills Office. When away from the office, he enjoys running marathons and half-marathons, hiking/outdoor activities, travel, music, good food, home brewing and spending time with his wife Noelle and their two beagles, Otis and Flora.
